Our QD Bushings boast an innovative split tapered flange design. Centrally split, they offer superior clamping force, ideal for sprockets, sheaves, and pulleys. These bushings are indispensable in mounting V-belt, synchronous belt, and roller chain drives with precision and ease. The split design facilitates effortless sliding along the drive shaft, while the flange ensures accurate positioning, outperforming non-flanged alternatives.
Experience unparalleled installation flexibility with our QD Bushing. Whether opting for a 'standard mount' or a 'reverse mount', ensure optimal performance by matching the set of holes accurately and securing the bushing firmly. As bolts tighten, the bushing contracts, delivering a secure shaft grip.
Mounting Instructions
1. Ensure the tapered cone surfaces of both the bushing and the driven products are immaculate and free from anti-seize lubricants.
2. Gently slide the QD Bushing onto the shaft, ensuring the flange end leads. Assemble the key with precision.
3. Position the QD Bushing on the shaft. Tighten the set screw over the key to 'hand tight' using a standard wrench. Avoid applying excessive force.
4. Glide the large end of your sheave, pulley, or sprocket taper bore over the cone, aligning drilled bolt holes in the sheave, pulley, or sprocket with tapered holes in the bushing flange.
5. Finally, tighten pull-up bolts alternately and evenly to the specified torque indicated in the torque table on the back for optimal security.
