Our QD Bushings are ingeniously designed with a split tapered flange, centrally split to enhance clamping force. Ideal for sprockets, sheaves, and pulleys where superior hold is needed, as well as essential for mounting V-belt drives, synchronous belt drives, and roller chain drives. The innovative split bushing wall allows for smooth adjustments along the drive shaft, while the flange ensures precise alignment, surpassing standard bored-to-size bushings.
The QD bushing excels in offering unparalleled installation flexibility. With options for 'standard mount' or 'reverse mount', it adapts to your specific needs. Correct alignment of the selected hole set is crucial for optimal performance, ensuring a secure fit as bolts are tightened, and the bushing tightly hugs the shaft.
Mounting Instructions
1. Ensure that all tapered cone surfaces and inside the driven products are immaculately clean and free from any anti-seize lubricants
2. Carefully slide the QD bushing onto the shaft with the flange end leading. Secure the key in place.
3. Position the QD bushing on the shaft, tightening the set screw over the key to a 'hand tight' fit using a standard wrench. Avoid excessive force to prevent damage.
4. Align the larger end of the sheave, pulley, or sprocket taper bore over the cone, matching the drilled bolt holes with the flange's tapered holes.
5. Evenly and alternately tighten the pull-up bolts to the specified torque, ensuring secure positioning as indicated in the torque table provided.
